Google Developing Own Processor for Chrome OS Laptops and Tablets: Report

Google is working on its own processor for laptops and tablets running Chrome OS. Tech giant Apple seems to be accelerating its efforts to develop its own chips like global competitors like Paul who are pursuing a similar strategy and moving away from the Intel CPU for its MacBook devices. Intel and Apple Pal earlier this month announced the new Intel 8th generation Xeon processor E-2180 family.

In the next article, we’ll talk about the latest Google’s Pixelbook laptop with high-end specs with a 7th-gen Broadwell-U processor that was found in a recent test using our GeekBench benchmark, and also about its future potential and other upcoming products. Google.

The new laptop, dubbed the Google Pixelbook, is said to come in two versions 2 a 2-in-1 laptop with a form factor and a tablet-like build. It is said to come with a 7th-gen Broadwell-U processor paired with 4GB of RAM.

Although the CPU is not mentioned in the official website, GeekBench leaked pictures and features of the 7th-gen Broadwell-U processor. The CPU cores are set to 8 cores with 2 SMM clusters which is very good for multi-tasking capability with hyper-threading.

  • Core i5-7300HQ
  • CPU clock speed base 2.8 GHz
  • Turbo 3.6 GHz
  • CPU Core 4
  • SMM1
  • TDP 15W

GeekBench 4 revealed a score of 22,061 for the Core i5-7300HQ, a high-end processor that also comes in the Apple Paul MacBook. This score is not very bad but it is definitely lower than the score of old iPhone, Plus and s. It is very close to the Surface Book 2 which is the fastest Chromebook on the market today with Core i5 processor.

Google Pixelbook Unboxing

The Google Pixelbook will be available from $ 999 which is a lot more expensive than other Chromebooks but it comes with two things: the first is of course a pretty new processor 7th Gen Broadwell-U i5 chip, the Core i5-7200U. The second is its Super AMOLED display.

AMOLED display is known as the best display technology on the market today. We saw that this technology has reached the OnePlus 2, Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and Sony Xperia XZ3, all of which have AMOLED displays.

There is another feature on this Chromebook, this Chromebook has USB-C port. This means you can charge this device and use a charger with a USB-C port. This is great news for Android users and those who want to use a Chromebook with their Android smartphone.

A quick Google search shows that you can use a USB-C charger to charge your iPhone or Android smartphone with a fast charging feature. This is big news because almost all Android smartphones now use USB-C as their port.

In short, the Google Pixelbook is currently the best Chromebook on the market.
