The Samsung Galaxy A21 Simple SCV49 has been launched in Japan. The phone is a single configuration with a 3,600mAh battery. There is a 16MP shooter with LED flash for selfies and a 32MP shooter on the back with dual LED flash. The primary camera sensor is of 8 MP resolution. The SOC is a 1.6GHz octa-core processor. It comes with Android 8.0 Oreo, 5.5-inch full HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) screen, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage and a dedicated microSD card slot. This device supports fast charging and is IP68-certified dust- and water resistant. The single SIM phone will only be available in black.
Design
The Samsung Galaxy A21 has a 5.5-inch full HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) display. It has a 19.5: 9 aspect ratio with 3D curved glass and Corning Gorilla Glass. This display is available in black and white options. The design is slim and compact and at 143g, it’s even lighter.
The front has capacitive keys including power, volume rocker and camera lock keys. The SIM card slot is on the left and the 3.5mm headphone jack is on the bottom. Micro USB 2.0 is on top.
On the back, the 16MP f / 1.9 primary camera has a secondary 8MP LED flash. The camera sensor has an 80-degree viewing angle. At the bottom is a hybrid dual-camera setup with a 32MP (13MP + 19MP secondary camera) + 5MP (f / 2.2) rear camera. This model does not have a fingerprint scanner.
There is 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card slot. Connectivity options include 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n / ac, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS, Glonass and 4G LTE. It runs on a 3000mAh battery.
Software and features
Android 8.0 Oreo is the operating system. There is an endless display. This gives users a huge screen to enjoy their content. This device is supported by Exynos 7880 chipset and Mali-G71 MP3 GPU.
The Galaxy A21 One runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with UI. A UI is an improved version of the Android OS. It has many new features to improve the user experience and is based on Android Orio. This brings new features like app action, auto fill, notifications, app shortcuts, floating windows, foldable panels, floating action buttons and notification dots. One UI offers many customization options.
The Galaxy A21 is powered by a quad-core 1.4 GHz MediaTek MT6757T chipset with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. It comes with a microSD card slot with support up to 256GB. Internal storage will be shared between operating systems and apps.
The other specs have an infinite display with a 5.7-inch Quad HD + (2,880 × 1,440 pixels) 538 ppi pixel density. It has an 8MP (f / 1.9) front camera with HDR, autofocus and LED flash. The rear camera has an 8MP f / 1.9 sensor with a secondary 2MP sensor with LED flash. At the bottom is the fingerprint sensor. It measures 144.4 x 71 x 7.6 mm and weighs 172 grams.
The Galaxy A21 has a 2600mAh battery with fast charging. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type-C, 3.5mm headphone jack and A2DP. The micro USB port is at the bottom.
The Samsung Galaxy A21 will be available in the US from $ 599.99 for the 8GB model in Dark and Silver and from $ 699.99 for the 32GB model. It will be available in Blue in Europe.
In India, the 4GB RAM model costs Rs 30,990 and the 6GB RAM model costs Rs 35,990. Prices are unique to the grant. The Samsung Galaxy A21 will be available in the Indian market from July 22.
The Samsung Galaxy A21 has already started getting the Orio update. This can also be seen in the firmware section of the Galaxy website.
The Galaxy A21 has all the features of the Galaxy S10 except the Bixby feature which was removed to suit Android Pie. Hence, it lacks facial recognition feature, dedicated Bixby button and Bixby Vision.
The Galaxy A20 can be in dark and purple, which is new to the series. It will be available in Midnight Black and Deep Purple in the US.
