Google Pixel Users Getting Native Call Recording Function with Phone App in India

The Google Phone app is bringing the global call recording function globally to Pixel phone users. The tech giant had earlier introduced the call recording feature in its phone app only for users in the US. The global functionality has been launched in the US and the European Union (EU) regions as well. However, it is not available in the India region just yet. The international users will be able to call up those in their country by using Google Phone. Meanwhile, the feature is available for Pixel users for free.

A user might want to call the customer care or a family member from a new location and this feature would be very useful for that. This means that a user can record his/her conversations with others even if he/she has not installed Google Phone yet. It is possible to install it from the Google Play store.

The feature works in the following way:

Open the Google Phone app. Tap the Call icon and select the destination phone number from the dialer. Tap the Call icon and select the Call Recording option to turn it on. Wait for a few seconds. The feature should turn on automatically. Tap the Call icon and select the Call recording option to turn it off.

To access the call recording option, there is a dedicated call icon on the top of the screen. It is not possible to record a phone call directly from the dialer. If you want to do that, then you have to first send an SMS message to the other party. This means that the recording is not possible for every phone call you make. The feature is only applicable to the phone number you have dialed.

How to enable Call recording in Google Phone dialer

You can easily access the Call recording option in the Google Phone dialer app in Android smartphones. The Call recording option is located on the top of the dialer. The following steps will help you access the Call recording option:

Open the Google Phone dialer app. Tap the Call icon on the top of the screen and select the Call Recording option.

In this case, it is not possible to switch the call recording on or off on these Android devices. You will have to use an alternative call recording app.

Call recording app can be activated on the mobile or any Android device. You can just download the call recording app from the Google play store.

Call recording is activated after you turn on the phone. To turn on the call recording app, simply go to the phone app. Select the call recording app and tap the on or the call recording option. You will find the same button.

After you turn on the app, tap the button to continue. You will get an option to activate the feature.
